Former ‘Daredevil’ Refuses To Work With Marvel Again Over Boss’ Controversial Past

Former ‘Daredevil’ Refuses To Work With Marvel Again Over Boss’ Controversial Past

Steven S. DeKnight, the former showrunner for Netflix’s Daredevil and current Marvel Comics author, has announced that he will end all ties to Marvel until the controversial Editor-in Chief addresses his past.

It was recently revealed that Marvel Comics’ editor C.B. Cebulski used to pretend to be Japanese to continue writing books under a different title.

Cebulski, who is a white man, used to write under the pseudo Japanese name Akira Yoshida. He worked on a variety of major Marvel comics, including X-Men and Thor. Cebulski was not content with a pseudonym. He went to great lengths to portray Yoshida, a true Japanese man, in fake interviews where he spoke about his childhood in Japan and how he learned English through comic books.

In 2017, Cebulski was named Marvel’s new Editor in Chief and finally admitted that Yoshida was nothing but a creation.

“I stopped writing under Akira Yoshida’s pseudonym after about one year,” he stated in a statement that he made at the time. It wasn’t transparent but it taught me a lot more about writing, communication, and pressure. It was a young, naive time and I still had much to learn. This is now over, and I am Marvel’s new Editor in Chief. I am thrilled to share my Marvel experiences with the up-and-coming talent across the globe.

This has been known for many years, but the question of Cebulski being Yoshida’s actor has recently been brought up by critics.

DeKnight replied to the outcry on Twitter by confirming that he will not be working with Marvel in the future. “I cannot in good conscience accept any further work until this is resolved.” He wrote, “I hope other creatives follow suit.”

In a separate tweet, he added that Cebulski’s history had just been brought to his attention.

You remember the part in Avengers Endgame when Black Widow tells Hawkeye there is a chance that the team can bring everyone back? Clint turns to her and says, “Don’t give us hope.” Yes, I felt that way when I wrote about the rumour of Daredevil returning to Disney+.

Knight Edge Media has reported that Daniel Ritchman believes Marvel is considering returning to Daredevil on Disney+. The entertainment company is looking at bringing back some of the Defenders cast members as well as some names from the wider Defenders universe, such as Jessica Jones, for a soft reboot.

This means that the Netflix series won’t be canon and that the origins and circumstances of the characters will differ even though they are portrayed by the exact same team. This sounds to me perfect. Charlie Cox would be a great Daredevil actor, and Krysten Ritter would be a wonderful Jessica Jones actress. There would be the possibility for some Defenders bad guys like Jon Bernthal or David Tennant to return as Killgrave.

It was a great casting job for the Netflix series. It was truly a special series, and fans have been asking Marvel to bring the actors back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We already know Charlie Cox would love to return, because he recently spoke out about how he could not imagine anyone playing Jones or The Punisher except Ritter and Bernthal.

Let me let you know that this is just a rumour and not a fact. While I would love to see these actors back, we cannot control the situation. That’s up to Disney. If you are reading this, Disney, please sprinkle some topping to bring Daredevil home.

‘Battlefield 2042’ Insider Explains Why The Beta Was So Rough, Warns Of Troubled Development

‘Battlefield 2042’ Insider Explains Why The Beta Was So Rough, Warns Of Troubled Development

Battlefield 2204′s closed beta ended last week. It’s safe to assume that players are still concerned.

There have been many complaints on social media about matchmaking issues, visual glitches and severe lag. Although beta tests aren’t perfect, many people were so stunned by what they saw that they began to question whether DICE or EA’s upcoming shooter will be available for launch on November 19.

This is where trusted Battlefield leaker Tom Henderson, an insider in the Battlefield community, has created a detailed report to provide some insight into Battlefield2042‘s “troubled growth” and “identity crise”.

Henderson accurately reported on nearly every aspect of Battlefield2042in the months prior to its official unveiling. He also addressed many beta concerns in a piece that Gaming Intel wrote.

EA Forum post stated that the divisive open Beta is actually a build that was “several month old”, which implies that many of the issues are already fixed or will be soon.

Henderson heard from at least two regular sources at DICE, that the build we used last week was a September build. He was able to locate the build settings in the beta build. This was just one day before the beta was supposed to launch.

Henderson writes, “This seems to match up with what I have heard for months: That DICE is experiencing major stability problems with builds of the games.”

DICE has been hesitant to release new footage of the game since the Beta. They can’t release new footage of the game because they are unable to.

According to Henderson, many of Battlefield2042‘s problems are due to management figures who “not committed enough”. According to some sources, management has not been able to address development issues that have been raised with them. This could lead to problems that are further down the chain that DICE could have sold earlier.

According to the report, development was further hampered by Activision’s 2019 Call Of Duty Modern Warfarereboot bosses. DICE was then asked to create something similar. It is unclear in which areas Battlefield2042 will, or should, be similar to Infinity Ward’s last Call Of Duty.

“Signs of troubled development in the past few months have been evident. Henderson concluded that the Battlefield 2042 Beta was unmistakable proof.

“Even though the Beta may only be a few months old, it is the result of more than two and a quarter years of development.”

One member of the Battlefield 2204 team pointed out toxic players as the reason studios don’t want to have a conversation with their fans.

The Battlefield2042 beta is now available for all players across all platforms. It features the classic Conquest mode, which can be played by up to 128 players on both new-gen consoles as well as PC. Phil shared his experience, saying that the game exceeded all of his expectations in a short time. “EA and DICE have harnessed cutting edge technology to take Battlefield 2042’s gameplay up to new heights never seen before in this franchise.”

Ben Walke, one the DICE producers, visited Reddit recently to speak with players about the beta and how the team responds to fan feedback. The beta was taken from our main build a few months back, and then you go into hardening mode. He explained that this is where you should focus on bugs and stability, and no additional work should be done.

Players enter the beta and discover new issues which are not yet discovered by the developer. These inform the “launch build”, which is then improved simultaneously. We don’t want the launch build to be stopped, so we need to “cap” the beta branched build at a time.

The beta was sourced at an earlier stage in the game’s development. This means that it will contain bugs and errors. However, that is part of what makes the game what is. While it is understandable to be frustrated about the state of beta, Walke clarified what acceptable ways are available to tell the team what you dislike about the game.

“Day one of beta, and we’re already in territory of people losing jobs.” Ever wonder why there aren’t more developers interacting with industry players? The producer agreed.

Walke stated that feedback is a valid method of giving feedback and that everyone on the team should be open to receiving constructive feedback. “But I am disappointed by the number of personal attacks that I have seen in the first few hours after it went live.”

‘Skyrim’ Overhaul Makes One Of The Game’s Best Areas Even Better

‘Skyrim’ Overhaul Makes One Of The Game’s Best Areas Even Better

The Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim is truly the game that keeps giving. While Bethesda fans might be excited to see the sixth entry in this long-running RPG series, the fifth title, which is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in November with a new-gen edition for Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5, is being constantly improved, improved, and sometimes smashed to bits by a passionate modding group.

The improved category includes this mod for Falkreath. PCGamesN highlighted the mod by JPSteel2 which transforms the southwesterly town into a stunningly renovated location, worthy of any new-gen upgrade. This mod gives Falkreath some personality, distinguishing it from other similar settlements in the region.

The Falkreath mod is part of JPSteel2’s Cities of the North series of them. You can find it on Nexus Mods. The modder wrote: “Cities Of the North is my project. I want to create a custom tileset of each of the four minor towns – Dawnstar, Morthal, Falkreath, Winterhold. Although there are many updates available on the Nexus for each city, I have never felt that any of them was unique.

“The only difference between these four major ones and the five major ones lies in their unique architecture. Solitude, Whiterun and Riften have strong visual identities. You can instantly tell if you’re in the Reach or Rift by simply looking at the buildings. The hold capitals, which were made only of farmhouses, had no identity independent of the overhaul used. I tried the same thing for them.

The Falkreath mod brings new interiors and exteriors to the city. You can find more details about the mod at the Nexus link. These screenshots show the mod’s impact on the otherwise very similar city.

ICYMI, the PS5/X/S version Skyrim will be released on November 11, 2021 – exactly 10 year after it was first released for PC, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. I was there and still have my promo copy. How can it have been a decade since the original release of Skyrim for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360?

I have said it before, and I will say it again: I love mods. The modders and creators of mods can give games an extra boost beyond their normal lifespan. Skyrim is the only game that has survived beyond its natural lifespan. The game’s popularity is still high despite being almost ten years old. This is partly due to modders.

According to the Dark Side of Gaming there’s now a massive mod that allows you to fight all-new creatures. Mihail has added a large pack of highly detailed and impressive ghouls for you to fight. This pack includes everything you need to fight the Goblins and Minotaurs.

This pack includes 132 creatures, 22 weapons and 11 spells. It also contains 41 new ingredients and 35 new areas. This pack contains a lot new content, and all of it breathes fresh air into SKryim. The Elder Scrolls is the inspiration for this pack, but it also contains monsters from other lore such as Dungeons.

The pack can be downloaded and checked out on Nexus Mods . However, this only works for Legacy Edition Skyrim. A Special Edition update will follow.

You might be still waiting for an official Bethesda update to Skyrim . As I mentioned earlier, the game will be turning ten this year. Bethesda felt it was the right time to update the content with Skyrim anniversary Edition. The experience will include fishing and a lot of new content from the “Creation Club”. It will be released on November 11th, and we are eagerly awaiting its arrival.

This Creepy New Horror Game Is Inspired By Silent Hill And Resident Evil

This Creepy New Horror Game Is Inspired By Silent Hill And Resident Evil

Sometimes all you need to get an impression of a new game’s content is a few screenshots. It might be just one screenshot or a few songs that set your nerves racing. In the days before the internet, we would see one picture of a game in a magazine. We’d base our expectations on that single image, and it might be something we don’t even see in the final game. It happens all the time. Today’s screenshot is from a no longer-existent magazine. YouTube, evidently.
We are attracted to Wronged us. We don’t know much about the project, its history or how it will play. We don’t have any information about the platforms, price, or potential crossover opportunities with unconfirmed Hideo Kojima products (heh). We have seen a 19 second video, which you can see below, and it has made us think: Oh, god, this is our jam. Is it still true that people say that a particular thing is their jam? We like it, so take a look!

You are right? Right? Although I am not a doctor, I believe that not having a head means not being able to stand up and walk around the area, while holding hands. This is how nature works in general. Don’t walk towards me, friends.

The clip ends with Wronged Us being developed in Unreal engine (5, presumably) and is scheduled for release in 2022. It’s possible that the full reveal will take place in 2022. You can click on the YouTube link to go to the Twitter account. There are no tweets at the moment. The information is similar, but more interesting: “Survival Horror Open World Game.” Those are words that we know.

We understand the three main influences in the YouTube video: Silent Hill and Resident Evil. This last one is a little intriguing, considering it’s not strictly horror… It is, in a way, a horror series. Is it enough to get excited about? It’s more than just a screenshot. We don’t need another Abandoned, it could all end in nothing. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed and be optimistic for the moment.

“In my sleepless dreams, I see that town …”

The first time I played Silent Hill 2, I can still recall it. November 2001 at a South London friend’s house. It was like waking up in a fever dream. I was overcome by dread at the unsettling atmosphere, but I kept moving forward.

Silent Hill 2 has been around for twenty years since its original release on September 24, 2001. It is the story of James Sunderland getting a letter from Mary, his deceased wife, from Silent Hill. The twist that it reveals that he murdered her, is a gradual descent into his own personal hell. What is it about this game that has inspired so many video essays and books dedicated solely to analysing every inch of grime?

It’s undeniable that it has had an influence on the horror games that came after. Although many games are labelled as psychological horrors (like The Medium), none of them can match Silent Hill 2’s skillful slow-burn terror.

Many games have developed morality systems over the years. These are usually based on karma points earned by performing certain actions. They all boil down to being either good or bad. Silent Hill 2 asks instead: Does James deserve to be punished for his actions?

Tomm Hulett (one-time producer of Silent Hill and now director at WayForward) says that “it’s the darkest thing that I’ve ever seen.” Hulett recalls being captivated by the trailer at Konami’s E3 2000 booth. It was launched on launch day, and I immediately got into it.

‘Riders Republic’ Is Currently Free To Play, But You Have To Be Quick

‘Riders Republic’ Is Currently Free To Play, But You Have To Be Quick

Riders Republic is now available for free, so hop on your bike! It was necessary. It would have been a missed chance and I would have thought about this for weeks.

Ubisoft Annecy, the creator of Steep is bringing extreme sports to stunning and accurately reconstructed recreations of American national parks. In an interview with theGamer, Thomas Geoffroyd, content director, stated that “I have never experienced the outdoors so well as when it’s with my friends.”

We live in a hectic world and are used to lots of stimuli. Nature sometimes does not move at the same speed. We wanted to mix them so we could share the fun and exciting moments in the great outdoors together. We believe that outdoor activities with friends are the best way to enjoy the great outdoors.

The trial Riders Republic is available to anyone who wants it. This is only available to PC players via Uplay. It pulls you into five careers in the game: Bike Freestyle (Bike Racing), Ski Freestyle (Ski Racing), Wingsuit, Rocket Wingsuit.

You can also choose from four multiplayer modes with:

  • Mass Race: There are three multisport races that have more than 50 participants. Every 30 minutes, new races are added to the map.
  • Versus Mode: Get five of your friends together at any career event to see who is the best.
  • Tricks Battle: Take part in 6v6 matches and try to score as many tricks on as many modules as you can. This will earn you points and help capture the modules. The team with the most points wins.
  • Free for all: Take on up to 11 competitors and show them how it is done with a selection of events.

The trial ends October 13th at 8.00 AM BST. Two weeks later, the game will be available for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on October 28th.

Ubisoft announced Ghost Recon Frontline as a free-to-play, class-based shooter in the tradition of its tactical military series.

According to Frontline, there will be many modes. However, Expedition will be the first mode that is available. This game is a large-scale, 102-player with shades of battle royale. Teams of three complete objectives on an extensive open-world map before calling for extraction.

Control is also available as a secondary mode. This 9v9-style shooter simulates a deathmatch. Ubisoft also revealed a “traditional arena shooter” and promised that more modes would be added to Frontlineseason on season.

Frontline will offer three classes at launch. Assault Class is for those who want to be in the action. With its excellent fortification capabilities, Support Class can stand firm. Scout Class can pose problems from afar and flag enemies for their teammates.

Ubisoft teases that you can switch between contractors even during battle. You can shape the battlefield around yourself by calling in tactical reinforcements like deadly auto-turrets or smokescreen drones. There are many ways to win and it all depends on what strategic approach you choose.

What about the battlefield? Frontline will take place on Drakemoor Island. Ubisoft describes Drakemoor Island as “an open world full of diverse environments” with multiple landmarks, distinct biomes and weather conditions.

Frontline will evolve slowly over time, adding new maps, modes and weapons as well as classes and characters. Although there is no official launch date, a closed beta test for PC players will be held October 14-21. If you fit the bill, you can sign up at,

Adam Warlock Joins Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Played By Will Poulter

Adam Warlock Joins Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Played By Will Poulter

Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 has its Adam Warlock. Will Poulter, a British actor will play the next major challenge for Star-Lord & co.

After a hiatus due to the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home, the MCU is back in full swing. The pandemic caused a longer hiatus than expected. Black Widow was the first to return to the big screen, followed by Shang-Chi and then Eternals, which will hit theaters on November 5.

Disney and Marvel didn’t wait and released a complete slate of their next projects earlier this year. This slate includes Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3, which won’t arrive for another 18 months. However, there is exciting news from the Guardians 3 front. James Gunn, the director of Guardians 3, confirmed that Will Poulter will assume the role as Adam Warlock.

“Welcome, Will Poulter to the Guardians family. Gunn responded to Deadline’s report that Poulter was an “incredible actor” and “a wonderful guy.” Poulter, a British actor best known for his roles as Black Mirror and The Maze Runner Series’ villain. Although he is now part of the MCU it’s not clear if he will be a hero, or a villain. Warlock was both in print.

The way Adam Warlock arrived in the MCU was teased in the credits of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Poulter is a villain. At least to start with. A downtrodden Ayesha is seen plotting revenge against the Guardians for double-crossing her and her people earlier in this movie. Her plan is to create the next step in her race’s evolution. She calls Adam, whom she seems to be creating.

Guardians of the Galaxy fans will be excited to see what this month brings. This is due to the announcement of Adam Warlock’s role in the next film, as well as the launch of the first game by the group later in the month. Guardians of the Galaxy by Eidos Montreal will be available on all major platforms starting October 26.

YouTuber Assigns A Keyblade To Every Single Super Smash Bros. Character

YouTuber Assigns A Keyblade To Every Single Super Smash Bros. Character

YouTubers have carefully chosen the keyblade that corresponds to each Smash Ultimate fighter, in case they are ever able to use one.

It wasn’t a dream. Sora was actually added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate last Wednesday, after a nearly three-year-long quest to complete the roster. Sora will not be officially added until next week. At that point, you’ll all be able use his iconic keyblade and take on the rest of the roster.

We recommend that you check out the thread and the accompanying video below if you are so excited about Sora arriving that you don’t want to wait. Regular Pat compiled it and included the keyblade that each Smash fighter would use if they were to be able to wield one.

It all started as a long thread on Twitter, which can be found above. This thread includes almost every Smash Ultimate character. Except for Sora, who has a keyblade, Pat searched the Kingdom Hearts universe for the perfect keyblade, looking at everything from color schemes and final smashes in order to make his selections.

Although most people who read the thread agreed with Pat’s decisions, there were some questions. This is why the video. Link was given the dream sword. Pat explained that he used keyblade-adjacent weapons, but this wasn’t as catchy than the title he chose in his thread. The explanations also include that Samus is orange so she gets an orange keyblade. Although it sounds simple, it is actually quite effective.

Pat has given Kirby a keyblade, despite the fact that he cannot inhale Sora in Smash Ultimate and is therefore not qualified to use one. Sora’s keyblade has been replaced with one made of magic, so Kirby can still use his moves and have the Kingdom Hearts characters’ powers and move sets. We may see some of the Kingdom Hearts characters using keyblades in the future, now that Smash and Kingdom Hearts have been confirmed to exist in one universe.

Halo Infinite’s Latest Technical Preview Enhances Performance Mode

Halo Infinite’s Latest Technical Preview Enhances Performance Mode

343 Industries will host its latest technical preview of Halo Infinite this weekend. This opens up more of the game’s features to potential players. This test introduces new Halo Infinite modes that Halo enthusiasts can check out before its December launch. This test allows for deeper analysis of the performance of Halo Infinite and comparisons to other technical previews. One comparison revealed that Halo Infinite’s Performance Mode on console seems to have been significantly improved.

To clarify, Performance Mode is a graphics option that consoles offer. It typically reduces resolution and other visual features to get a faster frame rate. Digital Foundry’s recent analysis found that Halo Infinite’s new Performance Mode on Xbox Series X gave an impressive improvement over previous tests. Halo Infinite can run at 120 fps with the latest Performance Mode improvements on Xbox Series X. However, the game’s resolution drops below 1440p. Rarely, it drops down to 1080p.

Players couldn’t toggle between Quality Mode and Performance Mode in previous versions of Performance Mode on Xbox Series X. It was believed that the toggle was bugged. This meant that players were stuck in 60 fps quality mode, regardless of whether they switched to Performance Mode. Digital Foundry doesn’t believe there is a bug in the technical preview. This causes Halo Infinite to switch back to Quality Mode after the game resets. Players must then change it back back to Performance every time they start the game.

However, the Xbox Series X was not the only console that received improvements to Halo Infinite’s Performance Mode. Digital Foundry also discovered that the Xbox One X console received a boost in performance. The console’s performance mode now delivers a steady 60 frames per second frame rate. It also maintains a 1440p resolution, with occasional dips to 1080p. The Xbox One X Performance Mode was previously unable to consistently deliver 60 frames per second.

One other difference exists in Performance Mode for a different Xbox platform. The Xbox Series S had a Performance Mode that reached 120 fps prior to the technical preview. This mode has been removed. Halo Infinite now only supports a single 60 fps mode for the next-generation Xbox console. The Xbox One S has a single graphics mode that can only display 30 frames per second.

This is a surprising amount of choices for potential Halo Infinite gamers. Xbox Series X gamers with monitors or televisions capable of supporting 120 fps will be in the minority. However, 343 has a great mode that they can use regardless. The Xbox Series X’s dynamic 4K quality mode with 60 fps should suffice to satisfy Halo fans.

Valve Cancels Ticket Sales for Dota 2’s The International 2021

Valve Cancels Ticket Sales for Dota 2’s The International 2021

Like many other gaming competitions and conventions in 2020 the International Dota 2 annual Esports Championship was delayed indefinitely because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Due to the delay, Dota 2’s The International competition reached over $34million by August 2020.

Due to the lifting COVID-19 lockdown restrictions in July 2021 Valve announced that Dota 2’s The International tournament would be held in Bucharest in October. Tickets for the live audience went on the market in September. Participants would need to be fully vaccinated, and must wear masks throughout the event.

Only a few weeks ago, tickets for The International went on sale. However, Valve has now canceled all ticket sales. The rise in COVID cases in Romania has resulted in new restrictions in Bucharest. Tournament administrators are no longer able to ensure safety and health for both participants and competitors. The International Dota 2 will still take place on October 7. However, there will not be public attendance. Those who purchased tickets already will receive a refund.

While ticket costs will be refunded, cancellations of the public portion The International Dota 2 championships less that a week before event start may cause inconvenience and even loss of money. Many attendees are already in Romania as a result of comments made on social media. Others have booked hotels, bought plane tickets and taken days off work to make arrangements such as pet sitting or house sitting.

The 2021 event, unlike 2020’s cancellation of The International completely, will still be held and fans can view it online. Details about how and where viewers can tune-in are still not available due to the recent cancellation announcement. It seems likely that Dota 2’s The International 2021 will be streamed live on Valve’s Twitch, YouTube channels or both.

The International Dota 2 Championships will have two stages. The group stage will take place from October 7-10. During this time, the participating esports teams are divided into two groups. They will then play in a round-robin format. The top four teams advance to the main event’s top bracket, while the bottom team is eliminated and the rest of the teams are placed in the lower bracket. The main event will be held from October 12-17, after a one-day break. It is not yet clear if all 10 days of The International will be streamed live or just the main event.

Veteran Final Fantasy Developer Working on New Dungeon Encounters Game

Veteran Final Fantasy Developer Working on New Dungeon Encounters Game

Square Enix has revealed Dungeon Encounters, the new Final Fantasy-inspired dungeon crawler game. Ito is known for his three Final Fantasy games, as well as being the creator of the iconic Active Time Battle system. Now it seems that he’s taking a different direction with a minimalist title that takes dungeon crawling back down to its roots.

Dungeon Encounters’ announcement trailer may bring back memories of Final Fantasy games past and present. It features beautiful art, solid character models and nearly blank maps. Dungeon Encounters offers players layers upon layers of board-game-like labyrinths to explore, instead of rich settings or vibrant environments.

The squares the player has walked on before are colored white. Unexplored squares are transparent. The trailer suggests that the game will be both a puzzle and a dungeon crawler. In fact, the player will be rewarded for exploring every level. Square Enix’s upcoming RPG will not be the only one to draw attention for its unique design choices. However, Dungeon Encounters’ stark minimalist aesthetic and complex puzzle mechanics might make it stand out from other Final Fantasy titles.

Ito isn’t the only Final Fantasy character involved in Dungeon Encounters. Hiroaki Kato was also the producer of Final Fantasy 12 The Zodiac Age. He worked on Tactics Ogre Let Us Cling Together as well as two Final Fantasy Tactics games. Nobuo Uematsu (the musical director) will join them. Ryoma Ito is contributing character art and Ryoma Ito (the designer) will also be joining them. Fans may find it a dream to see all these franchise titans work together on a Final Fantasy-inspired video game.

There are a variety of characters that can be played in the game, most of which fit into existing Final Fantasy archetypes. However, some characters, such as the sizable, round cat called Sir Cat and Jufren (a dachshund who wields a similar sword to Sif in Dark Souls), seem more experimental. Although the trailer doesn’t give much information about the mechanics of each character, it does show that some characters will have their own move sets. Square Enix claims that there will be 100 levels of challenging puzzles in the game, which could indicate that it will be more puzzle-oriented than any other title.
