Ming-Na Wen, the “biggest geek,” admits that she is. The Book of Boba Fett, the second live-action Star Wars series, is available on Disney+. It follows the success of The Mandalorian, which premiered in 2019. Temuera Morrison plays the title character, Boba Fett. She also appeared as Jango Fett in Star Wars: Episode II: Clones Attack. Ming-Na Wen returns to her role of Fennec Shand from The Mandalorian.
The Book of Boba Fett premiered in December 2021. It picks up from The Mandalorianseason 2. The story centers on Boba Fett, a long-standing fan favorite who returns to Tatooine to take control of Jabba’s criminal empire. Fennec Shand is at his side, whom Boba Fett saved after she tried to betray Mandalorian Din Dujardin. (Pedro Pascal). It was revealed that Shand was now in Fett’s care at the end of The Mandalorianseason 2.
Wen and Morrison spoke to ET Canada about Star Wars recently, promoting their new series. The actors discussed how The Book of Boba Fett was created. Ming-Na Wen is one of those Star Wars fans. Wen acknowledged that she is a geek every time she steps on a new set and that Morrison sometimes has to remind her that they still have work to do. Below are Wen’s comments.
“Trust me. Trust me. That usually lasts about five minutes during rehearsal. Then, when it is time to buckle down, Tem will pull me back in and tell me, Okay, Ming, it’s time to get to work.
It is easy to understand Wen’s “nerdgasm,” especially since she plays a prominent role in The Book Of Boba Fett. Boba Fett was first seen in Star Wars Holiday Special in 1978. The bounty hunter has been a fan favorite ever since. Before fans knew anything about Boba Fett, Boba Fett merchandise was available. His immense popularity inspired George Lucas to expand Fett’s story. He included a young Boba and Jango Fett in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. The Book Of Boba Fett finally gives this beloved character the solo series he deserves.
There are only two episodes left to go, so it’s hard to predict where The Book of Boba Fett will take the bounty hunter. Although Star Wars films have received mixed reviews since Disney acquired them, the television series, animated and live-action, has been very well-received. Ming-Na Wen, a super-fan, will tell you that whatever the Book of Boba Fett has in store for Fett or Shand is worth it.
