Harry Potter Reunion’s Ending Is The Perfect Alan Rickman Tribute

The much-anticipated and brilliantly executed Harry Potter Return to Hogwarts reunion ends on HBO Max with a perfect tribute to Severus Snape and Alan Rickman. The special brought back the Golden Trio, the main Harry Potter cast member, to Hogwarts for the first time since The Deathly Hallows films.

Some of the most well-known Harry Potter actors could not attend the reunion. Warwick Davis, Maggie Smith, and Michael Gambon were all absent. The Harry Potter reunion was a fitting tribute for the Wizarding World actors who unfortunately died since filming ended.

Helen McCrory (who played Narcissa Malfoy) and Alan Rickman (whose death in 2016 sparked a flood of grief among Harry Potter fans and movie lovers in general) are two of the most notable tributes. Rickman felt more connected to the Harry Potter movie world than other actors. This was partly due to Rickman being on JK Rowling’s wishlist of actors she would like to see in the adaptation. Because of this privilege, Rickman was the only actor who could see the direction of his character’s story before the movie finished. The Harry Potter: Reunion Special ends with Snape’s most poignant moment. He reveals his Patronus (his name) to Dumbledore in the Harry Potter reunion special, a tribute to his love and devotion for Lily Potter. This is the perfect way to end because of the additional meaning of the “Always,” and reflects Rickman’s and Snape’s importance.

Harry Potter fans have adopted the “Always” line for their fandom for a long. It is often featured on merchandise and tattoos to show commitment. This, along with Harry Potter’s confirmation that Hogwarts was his true home, quickly became an emotional focal point. This makes it an appropriate decision to end the Harry Potter reunion, given the reflections contained within it about the lasting legacy and emotional impact that the movies and JK Rowling’s Harry Potter novels had on millions of people who have read or watched them.

The Harry Potter Reunion section has an In Memoriam section. However, the final scene feels like a tribute to Rickman, undoubtedly the most difficult missing participant. His co-stars, Ralph Fiennes especially, speak so fondly about him that it makes the loss of Rickman’s life all the more poignant. The final “Always” in the reunion is a nod towards the fandom and recognition that Rickman’s legacy will continue to be as strong. Both of these elements, along with others, make it difficult to imagine ever remaking Harry Potter.

In recent years, there have been many talks about a Harry Potter movie sequel. But what has the original cast said about it? It has been 10 years since the Harry Potter original movie series ended. However, there has been a lot of interest from viewers since the Jack Thorne-written sequel Harry Potter, and the Cursed Child debuted back in 2016. Since then, the possibility of Rupert Grint and Emma Watson reprising their roles in a movie adaptation has been a frequent question.

The Harry Potter films ended in 2011, but the franchise continues with the Fantastic Beasts prequel movie trilogy. The new films aren’t as well-received as the originals, so viewers are eager to see their core characters on the big screen again. It seems that some of the principal actors were more excited about leaving Harry Potter behind after more than a decade in filming than they were anticipating future reprisals.

With HBO Max busy rebooting favorite franchises, Harry Potter – a Warner Bros. property – was one of the most awaited revival projects, especially since Cursed Child was open for a screen adaptation. After years of speculation regarding bringing back the original cast of a Cursed Child movie, Chris Columbus, the original Harry Potter movie Director, has increased viewer excitement by stating that he hopes to adapt the sequel with the original cast. Although the film has not been officially announced or greenlit, it raises the question of whether the Harry Potter actors would be interested in returning. These are the statements of the original Harry Potter actors about returning to film for a Harry Potter sequel.

Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe, the actor who played the wizard’s role in eight films, seems to not be against the idea. Radcliffe stated that he would need to ” think it” but expects the idea to return to be more theoretical and will happen in the future. Although he did not mention a sequel to the Harry Potter movie series, Daniel Radcliffe expressed interest in appearing in a reboot spinoff. The possibility of Warner Bros. renewing the Harry Potter franchise has led to speculation. Radcliffe stated that he would love to play Remus Lupin or Sirius Black if this happened. Radcliffe has not commented on his plans to return since Chris Columbus’s announcement. However, the original Harry Potter director might convince him. Without Daniel Radcliffe as The Boy Who Lived, a proper Harry Potter sequel movie would not work. He would be the priority.
