Is Order 1886 getting a PS5 4K 60 FPS update?
Ready At Dawn’s third-person action-adventure The Order: 1886 was one of the first games exclusively on the PS4. While the steampunk-inspired cover-shooter was loved by many, it received mixed reviews. Although it’s been six years since the original launch, a sequel to The Order: 1886 is unlikely. However, with Sony eager to bring more exclusives and updated visuals to the PC, an upgrade to the PS5 seems not far-fetched. This is everything we know.
Is The Order 1886 Getting a PS5 Update with 4K and 60 FPS?
The Order 1886 is not compatible with a PS5 upgrade at this writing and won’t run at 4K, 60 FPS or higher. The game is compatible with backward compatibility on PS5 consoles, but it only runs 1080p. It locks at 30 FPS. However, this could change in the future.

Interestingly, Sony Interactive Entertainment filed a trademark for The Order 1886. The trademark was filed in the US on December 9, and it is unclear what it might mean. Are Sony plans to follow up (likely with Ready At Dawn)? It could be, but if truth be told, we think it unlikely.
Sony could simply be trying to protect their trademark. We think releasing a PS5 version of the unpopular launch title would be an excellent way to test the waters and see if there is still interest in the IP. Keep an eye out for this…
