Today’s Forza Horizon 5 update includes improvements in multiplayer racing, video and mouse controls, as well as stability and bug fixes.

The patch’s most notable changes are the fixes to convoys. A bug that could have caused an “infinite” load for players who used the Find a Convoy choice has been fixed. Forza Link invites accepted by convoy leaders now apply to the entire convoy. Also, the convoy icon is easier to read on the map label.

The Horizon Arcade also has undergone significant changes. The score target is now based on how many participants are participating. A problem that caused convoy members or other players to disappear was “improved” (but not entirely fixed). Matchmaking will prioritize putting players together into larger groups, and some event completion requirements have been modified. A few leaderboard problems have been resolved, as well as bugs that caused EventLab props not to show up correctly.

Playground Games still needs to improve the ability to save and load EventLab content. Some players still report issues with convoys. However, the response to the Forza Horizon patch seems optimistic.

Reddit user Marrioshi said that he believes more Eliminator fixes are available than the official description. “I played 3 today and was able to challenge everyone. There are still invisible people who challenge you. I don’t believe it spawns everyone on a single map, but it is better.

Popular are scaling score targets. Redditor DrizzyWay stated that he had completed four arcade events in succession with group sizes ranging between just him and maybe four in one. “All events were completed in about five minutes.”

Forza Horizon 5 players will receive 1,000 Forzathon points along with the update. These can be used to purchase rare cars, clothing, and wheelspins in the in-game store. Below are the patch notes.
