Jennifer Coolidge Returns For White Lotus Season 2

According to reports, Jennifer Coolidge will be returning for The White Lotus season 2. The White Lotus season 2 premiered on HBO in July to great critical acclaim. It currently has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 88%. The show is filmed in Hawaii and follows wealthy tourists who vacation at the White Lotus resort.
After the White Lotus season 2 announcement, it was confirmed that the show would become an anthology series. White Lotus’s first season featured six episodes and featured the likes of Murray Bartlett (Connie Britton), Alexandra Daddario. Fred Hechinger. Jake Lacy, Molly Shannon. Natasha Rothwell. Brittany O’Grady. Sydney Sweeney. Coolidge played Tanya McQuoid (a troubled middle-aged woman) and quickly became a fan favorite. It is not yet clear if he will bring back other original stars, as Mike White is the writer and director.

Variety reports that sources confirm the return of Jennifer Coolidge in White Lotus season 2. Although the extent of Coolidge’s involvement in this new series is not known at this stage, Mike White previously expressed interest in creating minor recurring roles for certain characters in White Lotus season 2. Coolidge is not the first person to appear in a recurring role on a TV series. She has previously appeared in The Secret Life of the American Teenager and 2 Broke Girls.

Many viewers will be surprised to hear that Coolidge, Tanya McQuoid’s returning character, is one of the more relatable and normal characters on the show. McQuoid stood out, acting as a more sympathetic character in a show otherwise dominated by the needs of the wealthy and entitled. McQuoid was not an innocent bystander or completely unaware throughout the show. However, it was difficult not to be drawn to her while surrounded by toxic individuals like Jake Lacy’s Shane.

Although Coolidge’s involvement in The White Lotus season 2 remains unknown, it is reasonable to suppose that her participation will be reduced to establish new characters. The series’ new anthology format promises many new and upcoming faces, though no other names have been revealed. The White Lotus, still fresh from its critical success, may attract some big stars for the second series.
