Reveals Villains & New Costumes Reveals In The Aquaman & the Lost Kingdom BTS Trailer

The Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom set video has been released. Jason Momoa played the role of Aquaman in DC’s Extended Universe. He was first seen in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016). Then, he joined the Justice League team of superheroes for 2017’s Justice League. Aquaman will be his solo movie. Its success was ensured by the movie’s worldwide box office earnings of over $1 billion. It was no surprise that Warner Bros. and DC Films had announced a sequel. The film has been renamed Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Momoa reprises his role as Aquaman Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman. The sequel also features Amber Heard as Mera and Patrick Wilson as Orm, aka Ocean Master. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is back as Black Manta. Dolph Lundgren plays King Nereus, Temuera Morrison plays Arthur’s father, Thomas. Randall Park, a part of the original movie’s marine biologist Dr. Stephen Shin is also back. James Wan will be returning to direct Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. It is currently scheduled for release in late 2022.

Much speculation about his possible inclusion in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: The Marvel Cinematic Universe has its Adam Warlock in Will Poulter. Although a strange choice, it is not a destructive role. The MCU has been bringing a wide range of characters from Marvel Comics onto the big screen for over a decade. While some of the most beloved ones are part of this universe, fans still want others, including Adam Warlock.

Adam Warlock has first published in Marvel Comics under the name “Him” and then as “Adam Warlock” in 1972. The comics depict Warlock as a creation of the Enclave, a group that wanted to make the perfect human. He was granted superhuman strength, endurance, speed and stamina. He can also manipulate cosmic energy to produce energy projection, flight, recovery (like creating a cocoon to self-preservation or regeneration), and immortality. Death cannot claim his soul so that he can die, but he is not able to die. Adam quickly realized that he was too powerful and rebelled against his creators. He decided to fly to the stars.

Like other characters, the origin story of Adam Warlock is different in the MCU than in the comics. In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, he was shown briefly in a post-credits scene. 2: Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) revealed that she was working to create a new member of the sovereign race, more muscular, and destroy the Guardians of the Galaxy. Fans had been waiting patiently for Adam Warlock’s confirmation to appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and Will Poulter was confirmed as the character’s actor after much speculation (and James Gunn misleading the audience). Poulter is an odd choice as the character since he does not have what many would consider a “superhero” image. His past roles are also very different from Adam Warlocks and the MCU.

Poulter began his career in 2007 with the comedy Son of Rambow. Since then, he has primarily been working in comedy and less-known stories. He is most well-known for his roles as Eustace Scrubb, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Kenny Rossmore, Gally, The Maze Runner, The Maze Runner Death Cure, Jim Bridger, Colin Ritman, Midsommar, and Mark. Although Poulter’s career has not been a good fit for Adam Warlock or the MCU, it doesn’t mean that he won’t excel in this new role. The MCU is known for taking risks with its casting decisions – look at Robert Downey Jr. playing Tony Stark. They have all succeeded so far. Poulter may not have had any experience with superheroes, but he’s played some less-honest characters. He can perform comedy and drama and proves that he is up to the task of playing Adam Warlock.

Marvel’s casting decisions are something Marvel fans have come to trust, no matter how bizarre they may seem. So Will Poulter’s entry into the MCU shouldn’t cause any concern. Although playing Adam Warlock is a problematic role, Poulter has proven to play both mysterious and dishonest characters. He also can perform comedic roles. So, he’s ready to join the MCU and play Adam Warlock and blend in with the Guardians of the Galaxy films.
